Class Descriptions

Mommy & Me – This is a 45-minute class for 2 year olds and an adult consisting of creative movement, basic tumbling, and coordination skills. Students wear any color leotard. Shoes are not required.

Preschool – This is a 1-hour class for 3 and 4 year olds consisting of ballet, tap, and basic tumbling. Students wear any color leotard, skirt, tights, pink ballet shoes, and black tap shoes. Hair must be worn up and away from the face.

Jazz - Jazz is a 45-minute class for ages 5 and up. Students dance to popular music and learn stylized combinations, turns, and leaps. Inter, Jr, and Sr students  will also learn hip hop, which teaches freestyle rhythms and moves. They will perform two dances in recital. Students wear any color leotard, tights, and black or tan jazz shoes.

Tap - Tap is a 45-minute class for ages 5 and up. It consists of tap rhythms & technique with beginner to advanced steps. It includes classic tap style & modern free style tap. Students wear any color leotard and tights with black tap shoes.

Dance Team Prep - This class will begin October 2 & continue through April. This is perfect for students wanting to tryout for high school dance team or improve their skills as a dance team member. The class will focus on jazz combinations, turns, leaps, kicks, & splits.

Ballet - Ballet is a 45-minute class for ages 5 and up. Ballet is the basis for proper dance technique and leads to strong technical dancers. Inter, Jr, & Sr students will also learn lyrical dance. They will perform two dances in the recital. Students wear a black or pink leotard, ballet skirt, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be worn up and away from the face.

Clogging - Clogging is a 45-minute class for ages 7 and up. Students will learn Canadian buck clogging, which is energetic, great fun, and is known for its foot stomping. Students wear any color leotard and tights with black clogging shoes. (Shoes will be ordered in October.)

Boys Class - This is a 45-minute jazz & hip hop class for boys of all ages. Students wear comfortable clothing & jazz or tennis shoes.

Adult Class - This is a 45-minute class for adults to exercise & have fun with ballet, jazz, & lyrical.

Intermediate or Junior Combo Class - This  a 45-minute class for students who have not had dance training. Students will learn ballet & jazz & can wear any color leotard, tights, pink ballet shoes, & black or tan jazz shoes.
