Allison's Dance  Academy

Welcome to Allison’s Dance Academy. Where every star shines! The studio will open in July 2008 with two FREE week-long dance camps. Fall classes will begin in September. The director is Allison Kirby, who was born and raised in Southeast Texas. She grew up dancing, teaching, & choreographing and has come to have a special love for the art. One she wants to share with children in a fun, encouraging, & disciplined atmosphere.

Allison’s Dance Academy offers ballet, tap, jazz, clogging, hip hop, lyrical, & tumbling. Classes are for students age 3 years through adult with a Mommy & Me class for 2 year olds.

Allison has danced for over 30 years and has taught dance classes for over 15 years. She was a cheerleader at Port Neches-Groves High School and also a Lieutenant of the Indianette dance team. She was a member of Sandy Calamia's Danceworks Company for 12 years, performing as a soloist & in group dances. The company won numerous national championships with DanceAmerica & are still well-known throughout Southeast Texas. She has studied under many professional choreographers such as the late Steven Boyd, Gus Giordano, Debbi Dee, Frank Hatchett, Savion Glover, and Joe Istre. She was fortunate to travel the United States with dance competitions & conventions and study at the Broadway Dance Theater in NYC.

   10am - 4pm

Fall classes begin the day after Labor Day, September 2.
